Become A Stockist

Everything you need to know about wholesale

I currently supply over 100 gift shops - mainly across the UK, but I do also have stockists in the USA & France! These are almost all on a wholesale basis, but I am also open to sale or return agreements. If you are interested in becoming a stockist please email me at hello@sarahleaskstudio.co.uk. I can answer any questions about my products there and provide you with a copy of my brochure and ordering information.

Shop via Faire

I do also sell my work on the wholesale marketplace, Faire. If you are new to Faire, you can get 50% off your first order (up to £150) and 1 year of free shipping. All orders via Faire benefit from 60-day payment terms.

Feel free to browse my products there, if you would prefer to order this way, it would be very helpful if you could contact me prior to placing your first order!

FAQs

Do you offer carriage paid?

I offer carriage paid for orders over £400 ex VAT.

Do you have a minimum order?

Yes, my minimum order is £150 ex VAT.

What is your lead time?

Lead times can vary but I will always quote you a lead time whenever you place an order with me. If I have the stock already, the lead time is approximately 1-2 weeks.

I try to keep all of my best-sellers in stock, where possible. If items are out of stock the lead time is generally 4-5 weeks due to manufacturing times.

Can I order different designs within a pack?

Yes. For example, I sell tea towels in bundles of 15. However, if you would like to order 5 x 3 designs this is possible. Faire is less flexible so please contact me directly should you wish to order this way.

Where are your products made?

All of my products which are available to wholesale customers are made right here in the UK. I have been working with most of my manufacturers for a few years now and they produce incredibly high quality items which show off my designs perfectly.

how are the designs created?

I draw and paint everything by hand in my home studio in Aberdeen. I primarily use black fineliner pens and watercolour for all of my illustrations. The artwork is then scanned onto my computer where I can tweak it and make ready for print, whether that is as a single illustration or a repeat pattern.

Can I use your product photos for my website?

Of course, please contact me and I will send you high resolution files for the products you require.

Do you offer bespoke merchandise design?

Yes, please see below for more information!

Bespoke Designs

How does it work?

Here at Sarah Leask Studio we love creating bespoke collections for our wholesale customers as we get to bring your ideas alive and create something really unique and attractive for your customers.

Simply contact us with your idea and I will discuss any design fees that apply and which products I can offer for your range. Lead time is typically 8 weeks for this type of project.

Previous bespoke ranges include Jacobite Cruises (as shown on the right), Isle of Barra Distillers, MacGillivrays Gift Shop, National Trust for Scotland, The Courier Centre, Colonsay Beverages & Shetland Wool Week 2023.

Please do not hesitate to get in contact should you have a product that my illustrative watercolour style would be perfect for.

Back Story

I started wholesaling my work right at the beginning of running Sarah Leask Studio, back in 2017. Whilst working full time, I figured that the best way of getting my work out there was to sell it to gift shops. I approached a couple of local shops in Shetland first, who were happy to try it out. It was going quite well! So I decided to visit Scotland’s Trade Fair in January 2018. Having wandered about the show to see what it was all about, I applied to their Launch Gallery. I found myself there in September 2018 armed with a small price list and very little idea of how the industry worked, but I was super excited and keen to learn.

Fast forward to now, I am so pleased I decided to just go for it and jump in headfirst. The business wouldn’t be where it is today without those very first orders at my first show, some of those customers still continue to stock my work now, which I am so grateful for. Wholesale is hugely important to my business, it allowed me to build up my business alongside a 9-5, then part time work, to the point where I was finally able to go full time with my business.

I strive to continue to provide a high level of service to my existing wholesale customers and I am always excited to meet new ones too! Contact me today to find out more.
