Hello
Thank you for visiting my website and for your interest in Sarah Leask Studio.
I’m Sarah and I run my business from my home studio in Aberdeen. I have been creating watercolour art with a strong island influence since 2017.
The business started kind of by accident when I painted my first watercolour map which was of my home, The Shetland Isles. I went on to paint several more colourways before selling these as prints - to friends first, then friend’s of friends and finally through local gift shops in Lerwick, Shetland.
Since then I have created a full range of watercolour map prints as well as home and gift products which you will find on my online shop and Etsy page. All of these designs inspired by Scotland, with many of the beautiful islands featured heavily, as I believe they have a captivating charm, stealing the hearts of many.
So far, my work has been stocked in over 50 different gift shops across Scotland, with several of these shops in the harder to reach isles.

History
Sarah Leask is a Scottish illustrator & designer from The Shetland Isles. Established in 2017, Sarah Leask Studio grew from her love of colour, pattern and watercolour. She is known for her signature rainbow coloured watercolour maps, which feature many of the Scottish isles. Being an islander herself, there is a strong island theme found in her designs, highlighting some of Scotland’s harder to reach treasures.
Sarah finds a lot of her inspiration from her surroundings and having lived on mainland Scotland for several years now she has also showcased Scottish culture, wildlife & nature in her work too.
